Curtis R. White

Curtis R. White, age 92, of Fayette, Ala., formerly of Reform, died March 26, 2018 at Fayette Medical Center. 

Services were held March 28 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stephen Cannon officiating. Burial followed in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie C. White; his son, Terry White; his parents, five brothers, and three sisters.

Survivors include son, Richard White Sr. (Dian) of Fayette, Ala.; daughters, Peggy Jones Sparks of Carrollton, Ala., and Barbara Jones Brewer of Birmingham, Ala.; brother Alfred White of San Antonio, Tex.; 12 grandchildren, Richard White Jr., Justin White (Veronica), Angie White, Sherry Frost, Tracie Sparks, Brian Sparks (Susan), Drew Brewer (Marina), Nathan White (Samantha), Jason white, Tammy Jones (Anthony), Renay Freeman (Nell), and Ricky Matthews (Callie); 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. White was born February 21, 1926 in Earl, Arkansas to the late Thomas Wesley White and Eva Pennington White. He was a member of Reform First Baptist Church, a retired employee of Huyck Felt Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army and recipient of the Purple Heart.

Pallbearers were Richard White Jr., Justin White, Jordan Roberts, Brian Sparks, Drew Brewer, and Nathan White.

Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Petty, John Thomas White, John Underwood, employees of Fayette County Medical Center, employees and residents of Morningview Estates of Fayette, and special friend, Allene Darnell.
