George Lewis Fulgham

George Lewis Fulgham, 76, of Gordo, died May 14, 2018 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held May 18, 2018 at Hannah United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Herron officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wester Roscoe and Erma Lee Hogue Fulgham; brother, Wester Roscoe Fulgham, Jr; and sister, Henrietta Latham.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sybil Junkin Fulgham; sons, Steven Fulgham (Daphne) and Scott Fulgham (Kathy); daughter, Starla Richburg (Eric); grandchildren, Jessica Kynard (John), Erica Fulgham, Scotty Fulgham, Emma Fulgham, Chase Fulgham, Elise Fulgham, Eva Fulgham, Autumn Richburg, Abigail Richurg, John Wesley Burkhalter, Blake Burkhalter, and Victoria Burkhalter; great-grandchild, Jake Kynard; sisters, Vivian Johnson (Paul) and Vaudine Lancaster; brother-in-law, Clayton Bonner; sisters-in-law, Linda Lee and Bella Junkin.

George love God and never missed church. He was a member of Hannah United Methodist Church and also a faithful member of the choir. He could be seen each December proudly portraying an angel at Christmas Comes Alive. He loved his family and sports and his favorite was Alabama football. He witnessed many National Championships in his lifetime, and one special victory this past January. He especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports. George was loved by everyone. He was one of the kindest men to walk this earth and will be missed by many.

Pallbearers will be Keith Fair, Frankie Swanger, David Smith, Jason Bonner, Clayton Bonner, and Rob Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Hannah Methodist Church, the State of Alabama Department of Transportation, Dr. Ross Vaughn, and staff at Tuskaloosa Internal Medicene.
