Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Gordo to Mark 175 Years

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Gordo will mark its 175th year of service to the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, starting at 10:00 a.m. The service will include some sharing of Mt Pleasant history, former pastors, staff, and those who have been ordained at Mt. Pleasant will be invited to attend. Bro. Glenn Sandifer will preach the sermon, and Keith Mullenix will lead the music. There will be a fellowship meal after the service.

There will be displays of family trees, stories, and pictures of days gone by at Mt. Pleasant, and the church is asking if anyone has pictures or other information about the church to please send them to the church e-mail at mtpleasant@centurytel.net or contact Jane Turman at 205-344-3524 or Melba Moss at 205-399-1299.

Also, the church will be selling t-shirts. If you would like to order a t-shirt, send a check for $20 and your shirt size to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 3425 County Road 21, Gordo, AL 35466. The deadline is Aug. 16.
