Summertime has arrived. Or, almost, depending on how you look at it.

Astronomically, summertime begins on the Summer Solstice, which can fall anywhere between June 20 and June 22.  This year, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the Summer Solstice starts precisely on June 21 at 5:07 a.m. CDT. That is when the Sun reaches its northernmost point from the equator. The summer solstice is the day with the most hours of sunlight during the whole year.
