Aliceville Public Library was one of a few selected rural public libraries across the United States to receive the ALA COVID Library Relief Fund.  The ALA COVID Library Relief grant assists public, school, academic, and tribal libraries across the United States and US Territories that have experienced substantial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic, which impacted their ability to serve their community, especially in traditionally underserved populations.

The Carrollton Town Council meeting was held October 7, 2022. Councilman Phillip Trull and Councilman Sherman Mayhew were not in attendance. The meeting began with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance. The council voted to approve the minutes with a motion from Councilman Chuck McDaniel and a second from Councilman Freddie Lowe. The council then voted to pay the town’s bills with a motion from Councilman Lowe and a second from Councilman McDaniel.

ALICEVILLE- The Aliceville city council meeting occurred on August 24, 2022. Mayor Terrence Windham called the meeting to order. The council approved the minutes of the last meeting.

In unfinished business, the council motioned to table the ordinance for renaming streets for the next meeting.

Next, the council made a motion to ap- prove the 2022-2023 Holiday Schedule.
