The Pickens Anglers High School Fishing Team began the 2018-2019 Season on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Longs Landing (S.W. Taylor) in Sumter County.  Anglers began the morning with a pre-tournament meeting just prior to blast off.

Blast off was at safe light or approximately 6:15 a.m. and students fished until 1 p.m. at the time of weigh in.  Silas Crimm and Luke Patrick held the winning bag of fish with five fish and a total weight of 17 pounds.

Courtney Dudley and Will Noland came in second with eight pounds.  The second place teammember, Courtney Dudley also caught the big fish for the day at 4.9 pounds.  The whole Pickens Anglers Fishing Team collectively weighed in 29 fish Saturday with a combined weight of 55.1 pounds of fish.  That is great day of fishing for student anglers.
