Alice Taylor Sullivan, age 78, of Gulf Shores, Ala., formerly of Panola, Ala., died September 29, 2018 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala. Graveside services were held October 2, 2018 at Panola United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Tim Alexander officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. “Bob” Sullivan; her parents; and her sister, Lide Taylor Long.
Survivors include her sons, William E. “Bill” Goodwin (Polly) of Panola, Ala., Scott Sullivan (Leann), and Johnny Sullivan, all of Auburn, Ala.; four grandchildren, Will Goodwin (Ashley) of Cottondale, Ala., Seth, Lauren, and Lily Sullivan all of Auburn, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Emma Lockhart; her niece, Laura Jo Meadows (John Blue) of Lowndesboro, Ala.; and special friends, Jean Moreland, Leah and Wally Culver, Lyne Thomson, Ann Totoritis, Margaret Ann King, and Annette Hayes.
Alice was born May 19, 1940 in Electric Mills, Miss., to the late S.W. “Billy” Taylor and Loucile Henley Taylor. She was a longtime resident of Panola, Ala., and a retired bookkeeper for Marvin Spiller, CPA in Aliceville, Ala. After a few years in Russellville, Ky., she and Bob reached their retirement dream of retiring near the beach in Gulf Shores, Ala., where she was also employed at the Perdido Beach Resort. Alice loved the beach.
