Clara Ethel Brown Fair

Clara Ethel Brown Fair, age 96, of Gordo, AL passed away January 14, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Byron Fair and Bro. Trey Kelley officiating.  Burial followed in Center Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Cole Fair; daughters, Janice Marie Fair and Annie Zoe Patrick; her parents; sister, Clorine Harbarger; four brothers, Edward, Garnett, Johnny Bert and Stillman Brown; granddaughter, Ashley Cole Davis; great-grandson, Andrew Paul Jones; son-in-law, Austin “Butch” Patrick and brother-in-law, Stanley Branyon.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Sue Fair Sanders (Joe) and Jacqueline Ann Fair Davis (Rod); son, Tommy Gene Fair (Diane); brothers, Bobby Brown (Jackie) and Jerry Brown (Tracy Ann); sister, Betty Sue Branyon; sister-in-law, Ruth Brown; nine grandchildren, Pamela Mayo Jones (Mark), Cindy Patrick Shelton (Brian), Stacy Fair Damico (Michael), Tracy Fair Wright (Ricky), Jason Cole Sanders (Jennifer), Jeremy Fair (Jamie), Lisa Fair Maughan (Mike), Jennifer Sanders Sharpe (Ricky) and Matthew Davis (Jill); 21 great-grandchildren, Noelle and Alaina Jones, Kati Shelton Tuten (Tyler) and Cole Shelton, Kylee and Kamryn Damico, Mason and Miley Wright, Daniel, Anna and Sarah Sharpe, Emry Sanders, Shaun, Alex, Colby and Makayla Maughan, Jackson, Ava, Max and Charlotte Fair and Connor Davis and great-great grandchild, Kallie Zoe Tuten.
Clara was born December 6, 1926 at the family home in Gordo, Alabama to the late Walter O. Brown and Annie Frances Junkin Brown.  She was a member of Hannah Church and a retired seamstress for XL Manufacturing.  Clara was a member of the Pickens County Home Demonstration Club,  sponsor of the 4-H Club and Las Amigas Club and a seamstress, from the beginning, for the Hannah Church Christmas Comes Alive.  The backbone of our family has left us for her Heavenly Home, and now it’s time for the family to carry on her legacy.
Clara’s great-grandsons served as Pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers were members of Hannah Church, the Zion community and members of the Las Amigas Club.
