Aliceville Yellow Jackets

The Yellow Jackets of Aliceville Boys Basketball Team, led by (The-Ville) Our Coach Christoper Walker, made school history. The School Basketball's first championship. March 3rd, 2023 The 25-1 Yellow Jackets of Aliceville VS The 9-9 ST. LUKE's Episcopal Wildcats for The Alabama 2A State Championship at the Legacy's Arena in Birmingham AL. The Wildcats came from the south of the state and interstates ten from Mobile's With a Tough physical Team. But The Yellow Jackets of Aliceville came from 20/59 up the interstates from Pickens county, ready to Battle. Yellow Jackets staff and fans came out in large Numbers. Pickens County Board of Education Superintendent Jamie Chapman and Staff were in Attendance. I met people from Reform, Carrollton, Gordo, Greene, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties.
I saw graduates from Aliceville classes from 1970 to 2022. The Aliceville Yellow Jackets won the Game 44-43. It was a close game, but The (REAL DEAL)Tyjarian Williams made the Winning Free throw to Seal History for the School and City. The 13th young men have been together for a year, and they work hard and earn the Trophy:1 Jatavis Colvin 2. Tyjarian Williams 3. TYquan Simon 4. Jordan Sterling 5. Keanthony Wilder 6. Treshawn Mathews 7. Quadarian Speight 8. Jalen Rice 9. Kelby Taylor 10. Lamark Richardson 11. Christoper wilder 12. Quincy Sherrod 13 Tony Stewart. The three coaches who assisted Coach Christoper Walker: Patrick Windham, Timothy wilder, and Montez Shipman: Tyjarian Williams, TYquan Simon, and Jatavis Colvin made the All-Tournament Team also Jatavis (Dr. J)Colvin with 18 points was Name the AHSAA 2A MVP. I asked T. Mathew's what do you think? He responded, "it was a tough fight, but we prevailed, and my team and I have dreamed of this day.”
