Sheena Jane Elmore

Sheena Jane Elmore, age 81, of Gordo, AL passed away April, 7, 2023 at her residence.  Graveside services were 11:00 am Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Sand Springs Methodist Church Cemetery in Gordo with Rev. James R. Bane  officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Elmore, Sr. and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters, Rheena Elmore and Crystal Bane (Jimmy); two sons, James H. Elmore, Jr.  and Darryl Elmore; two sisters, Sheba Duren and Shelba Fluker (Lee);  three grandchildren, Taylor Elmore-Homan, Brandon Elmore and James Bane II (Cecile) and five great-grandchildren, Ellie Grace Bane, Morgan Bane, Grayson Elmore, Braydon Elmore and Braxton Elmore and a number of nieces and nephews.
Sheena was born February 1, 1942 in Gordo, Alabama to the late John A. Atkins and Ruby Hammond Atkins.  She was a member of Cornerstone Church in Gordo and was a retired  seamstress and former employee of Piggly Wiggly.                                                                         
Pallbearers were Richard Howell, Frank Duren, Chip Elmore, James Bane, John Hammond and Morgan Bane. 
Honorary pallbearers were Richard and Jackie Howell, Dr. Robert Posey and staff of Med Center North River, Pat Pearson and Brenda Crain.
