CARROLLTON- The Pickens County Board of Commissioners meeting took place on November 22, 2022. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Fitch.
A motion was made by Commissioner Drew Elmore to approve the consent agenda. Commissioner Jill Noland seconded the motion, and it was approved.
The meeting began with new business, where a motion was made by Commissioner Nancy Ray to approve the bid to level and resurface Friendship Church Road and Davidson Road. Commissioner Jody McGee seconded the motion, and it was approved.
Next was to approve the purchase of a pipe from The Railroad Yard for $24,057 to replace the bridge on Beaver Creek Road. Commissioner Elmore made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Noland, and it was approved.
Commissioner Ray made a motion to approve the contract hire of Carl Colvin and authorize the Chairman to sign the contract; All compensation is to be paid from the Gasoline Tax Fund. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Elmore, and it was approved.
Last on the agenda was to authorize the Chairman to sign the budget revision request to the State Department of Revenue for the FY2022 Appraisal Fund budget to cover line item shortages. Commissioner Elmore made a motion, seconded by Commissioner McGee, and it was approved.
The next meeting of the Pickens County Commission will take place on December 13, 2022, at 6:00 pm.
