Mary Loyce Sutton, age 78, of Gordo, AL passed away November 4, 2023 at Arbor Woods Health & Rehab in Reform. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn McDaniel and Rev. Leonard Hudson officiating.  Burial was held in Center-Springs Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation followed the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Sutton and her parents.

Floyd “Pee Wee’ Spain, age 84, of Reform, AL passed away November 8, 2023 at his home.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Stansel Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Lucas officiating.  Burial was held in Bethel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Larry E. Richardson was born November 3, 1956 in Reform, AL to Jerry Donald Richardson and Audrey Mae Richardson.  He passed away September 8, 2023 in Longview, Texas surrounded by his family.  He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1974.  He then worked in the Oil & Gas industry for over 40 years where he continued to work until his passing.

Julie Ann Lancaster, age 56, of Eutaw, AL passed away November 2, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama.  The family received friends from 1:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home in Reform.

Dorothy Mae Harcrow, age 103, of Reform, AL passed away November 3, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral services were 12:00 noon Monday, November 6, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Trey Reece and Bro. Mark Dean officiating.  Burial was held in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nannie B. Hayes 85, of Dacula, Georgia, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Buford, Georgia. Public Visitation was Friday, November 3, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The homegoing celebration was Sunday, November 4, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Mt. MSG. HB Conner, Jr., 68, of Aliceville, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at his residence. James Holly Dyer, age 85, of Gordo, AL passed away October 23, 2023 at his home.  Funeral services were 11:00 am Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Highland Baptist Church in Gordo with Rev. James Stanley “Stan” Criswell, age 72, of Reform, AL met his Heavenly Father on  October 23, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Shaw officiating.  Burial was held in Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in McShan, AL with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Katrell Prude, 22, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 223, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS. Public visitation was Monday, October 30, 223, from 12:0 noon until 5:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The home going celebration was Tuesday, October 31, 223, at 1:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Carrollton. Interment was in Pine Grove Memorial Gardens Cemetery, also in Carrollton, with Rev. Mr. Robert M. “Bob” Cummins, born in Reform, AL and longtime resident of Spanish Fort, AL passed away Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born March 29, 1940 to Howard Manley Cummins and Leslie Taylor Cummins.

Mrs. Ruthie Clark, 84, of Aliceville passed away Sunday, October 22, 223, at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Public visitation was Friday, October 27, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The home going celebration was Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at New Canaan Baptist Church in Aliceville. Interment was in Community (Clster) Cemetery, also in Aliceville, with Rev. Dr. Lonnie Weaver as the Eulogist.

Betty Sue Carver, age 88, of Kennedy, AL passed away October 25, 2023 at her residence. Allen Preston Tate, age 53, of Gordo, AL passed away October 4, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Friday, October  6, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Franklin “Jim Frank” Seymer, also known as “Bud”, age 87 of Carrollton, AL passed away October 15, 2023 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home.  Funeral services were 11:00 am Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Carrollton Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Warren Robinson, age 75, of Millport, AL passed away October 14, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Zion Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Chris McCool and Elder Buddy Abernathy officiating. Doris Nell Reece, age 91, of Gordo, AL passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 14, 2023.  Funeral services were 3:00 pm Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Deacon Frederick (Hollywood) McGee, 62, of Carrollton, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Columbus, MS. Mr. Wilbert L. Harkins, 77, of Carrollton, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at his residence. Public visitation was Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The homegoing celebration was Monday, October 23, 2023, at 12:00 noon, at New Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America in Carrollton. Interment was in the church cemetery with Rev. Gerald Fencher, as the Eulogist.

Earline James Nickoles, age 93, of Gordo, AL passed away October 7, 2023 at Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care. Funeral services were 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Williams officiating. Burial followed in Double Branch Independent Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation followed the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Douglas E. Jones, 60, of Aliceville, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. Public Visitation was Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The homegoing celebration was Friday, October 13, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Aliceville City Hall. Interment was in Old Bethany Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, also in Aliceville, with Reverend Patrick Bonner as the Eulogist.

Mr. Andrew Lee Cunningham, 80, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Aliceville, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at West Suburban Hospital in Chicago. There was no public visitation. The home-going celebration will be on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 12:00 noon at New Salem Baptist Church in Aliceville. Interment will be in the church cemetery, with Revered Patrick DeGraffenried as the Eulogist.

Mitchell Alan “Mitch” McGee, age 69, of Gordo, AL passed away September 22, 2023 at his residence. Graveside services were 11:00 am Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Darren McGee officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation followed the service in the church Fellowship Hall.

Mr. James Hughes, 70, of Aliceville, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, at his residence. Minton Henry “Mint” Mullenix, age 91, of Gordo, AL passed away September 8, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services were 10:00 am Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Lamar Knox, Sr., age 88, of Aliceville, AL passed away September 13, 2023 at Hospice of
West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Memorial services were 11:00 am Monday, September 18, 2023 at Aliceville First Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Wilson officiating. Visitation was immediately following the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronny Vann Knox; his parents; sisters, Blanche Jinks and

Joe Thomas Latham, age 83, of Tuscaloosa, AL, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at
Ridgeview Nursing Home in Jasper, AL. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Magnolia Chapel North with Brother Clark Sims and Brother Kerry Richardson officiating. Mr. Arthur A. Hinton, 94, of Aliceville, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at DCH Regional in
Tuscaloosa. Public visitation was Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The Omega Psi Phi Memorial Ceremony took place Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. at Aliceville City Hall, with the home going celebration following at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Aliceville, with Rev. Willie G. Fulgham as the Eulogist.

Mr. Carl Colvin, Sr., 67, of Aliceville, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at UAB Hospital in
Birmingham. There was no public visitation. The home going celebration was Friday, September 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Aliceville City Hall. Interment was in Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Willie Dean Colvin as the Eulogist.

Myrtle Faye Oden Sutton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 2:00 am at her residence in Gordo, AL, at the age of 77.   Funeral services were 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Anderson and Bro. Danny Simmons officiating.  Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery, south of Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.   Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Homer Lee Hughes, 67, of Aliceville, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. There was no public visitation. Interment followed the service in Bethany Town Cemetery, also in Alicevile, with Rev. Randy Hughes as the Eulogist.

Anna Pratt Hester, age 70, of Pickensville, AL passed away August 19, 2023 at here residence.  Funeral services were 11:00 am Friday, August 25, 2023 at Pickensville Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Jones and Bro. Mr. Daron Roydell Jackson, 48, of Aliceville, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Fannie Mae Duncan, age 90, of Gordo, AL passed away August 14, 2023 at Fayette Medical Center.  Memorial services were 11:00 am Friday, August 18, 2023 at Big Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Trey Kelley officiating.  Burial was held in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  Skelton Funeral Home of Reform handled the arrangements.

James William Akin, age 75, of Carrollton, AL passed away August 16, 2023 at his residence.  A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Smith Akin; father, William Jordan Akin; brothers, David Earl Akin and Robert Hugh Akin and grandparents, Francis Moseley and Adelle Butler Wright and James W. “Jim” and Estelle Winborne Akin.

Jerry “Tank” Kimbrell, age 76, of Aliceville, AL passed away August 1, 2023 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home.  A  Visitation Only was held from 2 - 4 pm Friday, August 4,2023 at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th Street NE in Aliceville. Burial followed in Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Camellia Joe Kimbrell.
