Commission Approves Financial Statement for Publication

CARROLLTON- The Pickens County Board of Commissioners meeting took place on December 27, 2022.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Fitch.

A motion was made by Commissioner Drew Elmore to approve the consent agenda. Commissioner Jody McGee seconded the motion, and it was approved.

The meeting moved to new business, where Commissioner Nancy Ray made a motion, seconded by Commissioner McGee, to approve the FY2022 unaudited financial statement for publication. This motion was approved.
Next, Commissioner
Jill Noland motioned to appoint Rosetta Minor to the E911 Board as the District 2 Representative. Commissioner McGee seconded the motion, and it was approved.

The last item in new business was to authorize the Chairman to sign the resolution authorizing the operation of medical cannabis dispensing sites within unincorporated areas of Pickens County. Commissioner Noland motioned, seconded by Commissioner Elmore, and it was approved.

The next meeting of the Pickens County Board of Commissioners will occur on January 10, 2023, at 6:00 pm.
