The Gordo Lady Wave opened their season on December 3rd at Northside. The outcome didn't go the way they had hoped as Northside defeated the Green Wave 60-26. The three-ball was falling good for the Rams. In the 1st quarter, the Rams jumped out to a 20-2 lead and never looked back. In the 2nd quarter, the Rams outscored the Green Wave 22-6 taking a 42-8 lead at halftime. In the 2nd half and 3rd quarter Gordo slowed the Rams' offense down more as the Rams still outscored the Green Wave 13-9 and took a 55-17 lead at the end of three quarters. In the 4th quarter, Gordo outscored the Rams 9-5 but the lead was just too much to overcome for the Lady Wave as Northside took the win 60-26. Leading the Ladies in scoring was Camryn O'Bryant with 7, Emarie Campbell with 5, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks, Ja'Leah Prentice with 5 and 3 steals, Mahaliah Latham with 4 and 3 blocks, Ah Keria Peck with 4 and 4 rebounds, Sylvia Cousette 2 and Jordin Wilder with 1.
