Thank you for the support you have given me in the years I have served as your Sheriff. I ask for your continued support as I run for re-election on November 6. I feel together we have accomplished a great deal.
I am a lifelong resident of Pickens County. I grew up in Benevola and graduated from Aliceville High School. My family and I now reside in Gordo and are members of Highland Baptist Church.
My law enforcement experience began at the age of 18, when I graduated from the United States Army Military Police School. I joined the Gordo Police Department in 1978 and graduated from the University of Alabama Law Enforcement Academy. I served with the Tuscaloosa Police Department in 1980 but came back to Gordo as Police Chief and served there for five years during which time I received a Certificate of Commendation. In 1986, I was elected Sheriff of Pickens County. In 1996, I graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
