Superintendent Jamie Chapman Announces COVID-19 Update in Schools

LADOW- The Pickens County Board of Education meeting occurred on August 22, 2022. The meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Annie Jackson.
    After the Invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, Jennifer Shirley presented the budget to the board.
“We received some of our federal allocations two weeks ago. Most of them were preliminary allocations, so they may change. We still have some units to fill, and once filled, that should put everything where it needs to be.” said Shirley
Superintendent Jamie Chapman informed the board that the state money must be used first, with proof of what it was used for before any federal money can be spent on people.
The board then approved the July 20, 2022, minutes and payroll.
