Mayor Recognizes Life of Long-Time Employee Jeffery “Boot” Lewis

ALICEVILLE- The Aliceville City Council meeting was held on December 28, 2022. Mayor Terrence Windham called the meeting to order. Councilmember Rebecca Gilliam was absent.
The council approved the minutes of the last meeting.
In new business, Mayor Windham read the resolution, recognizing the life of long-time employee Jeffery “Boot” Lewis.
“Whereas the city of Aliceville and the greater community has lost a strong, valued, and greatly respected worker on December 23, 2022, with the death of Mr. Jeffery Lewis. Mr. Jeffery Lewis was a tireless and devoted employee for the city of Aliceville.
Whereas he inspired countless individuals and set a standard for professionalism.
Whereas he was always willing to give his time, service, and talents freely when needed and provided joy, peace, and happiness to the citizens of Aliceville as he was an expert in heavy equipment operation.
