Aliceville Yellow Jackets Dominate Pickens Academy Pirates

Aliceville and Pickens Academy met for their first matchup of the 24 Season Thursday night in Jacket Nation. Aliceville’s young men were a dominating force all night. In the first period, The Jackets racked up 26 points to The Pirates 8. The second period was much the same with PA earning 7 hard-fought points the Aliceville’s 19. This brought the teams into the half with scores of Aliceville 45 to PA’s 15. The Pirate fans were hopeful for their boys to turn it around after the half, but the Yellowjackets were just too strong. The Pirates scored 8 in the third period to the Jackets 18. The final period brought Aliceville 13 final points to PA’s 5. This brought the final game scores to Aliceville 76 to Pickens Academy’s 28. Leading scorers for Aliceville were Damarion Brewer with 22 points, Javien McGraw dropping 12 points, Taylor Garder earning 9 points, and Tibaous Storey, with 8 points. Pickens Academy’s leading scorer for the night was Sopho- more Mason Sullivan earning a solid 11 points in his post position.
