Pauline Bento Moore

Pauline Bento Moore, age 88, of Aliceville, AL, died January 9, 2025, at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. No services will be held. She was preceded in death by her husband, Granville Moore; her parents; her brothers, Frank S. Bento and John S. Bento; and granddaughter, Jamie Marie Moore.  Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn L. Moore of Reform and Debbie Junkin (Philip) of Gordo; son, David Moore (Alice) of Eagle River, Alaska; sister, Louise Johnson of Stock- bridge, Georgia; brothers, Richard S. Bento of Reno, Nevada and Joe S. Bento of Hamburg, Iowa; five grandchildren, Matthew A. Moore (Aleona), Josh A. Moore (Megan), Nathan A. Moore (Aaron), Daniel G. Junkin and Megan E. Moore Waites (Cody) and she was blessed with great-grandchildren from Alabama to Alaska. Pauline was born on April 6, 1936, in Stratford, California, to the late Manuel S. Bento and Mary Bento Box. A veteran of the United States Army, Private Bento Moore took basic training at Fort McClellan, Alabama in 1955, then was stationed at Fort Ord, California. Her first assignment was as a clerk at HQ Spec Troops, then clerk at Sykes Regulars, and then morning clerk at the WAC Detachment. She received the Good Conduct Medal and letters of appreciation for her service.
