Vehicle Burglaries in Zion Community

Deputies with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a suspicious male knocking on doors in the Zion Community on June 17, 2025. The deputies searched the area but did not find the individual. Another report came to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office on June 18, 2025. This time, the same suspect was reportedly armed and attempting to break into vehicles and a residence on Old Highway 82. The suspect was located and taken into custody by the Gordo Police Department. He was in possession of a stolen firearm, which was taken from a nearby vehicle.
