Pickens County blows away Lynn 42-6

The Tornadoes’ defense stops Lynn’s Griffin Lynn at the goal line in Friday night’s 42-6 win.


It was Lynn, Alabama. It was 84 degrees at 7:00 p.m. It was Friday the 13th. It was a lackluster first half marred by yellow laundry all over the field, mostly against the visiting Tornadoes. It was a 6-6 tie at halftime that left #6-ranked Pickens County’s fans shaking their heads and wondering what the second half would bring. In the first half, it seemed like everything, including the officiating, was going against the Tornadoes. But as the team came back onto the field from the locker room to begin the second half, one could see a confidence and swagger among the players and coaches that told everyone the second half would be totally different.
