Jerry “Tank” Kimbrell, age 76, of Aliceville, AL passed away August 1, 2023 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. A Visitation Only was held from 2 - 4 pm Friday, August 4,2023 at Dogwood Chapel, 200 5th Street NE in Aliceville. Burial followed in Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Camellia Joe Kimbrell.
Survivors include his sons, Kris Kimbrell and wife, Morgan and Tarron Ingram and granddaughter, Camilla Ann Ingram.
Tank was born September 9, 1946 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Joseph Theron Kimbrell and Carmen Lollar Kimbrell. He was a retired butcher for Piggly Wiggly in Aliceville for many years and was better known for being the lead singer for the band, “Sloe Gin”.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
