The Carrollton City Council held its monthly meeting on February 5, 2026. The meeting began with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Mickey Walker addressed Police Chief Anthony Durrah about his attitude when the mayor addresses him. Mayor Walker has asked him to get the of- ficers to patrol the city and write tickets whenever necessary. Durrah explained that he didn’t want them to have to write a certain number of tickets to reach a quota. Mayor Walker said they had not men- tioned a quota. Mayor Walker spoke to Durrah about police officers taking long lunches and remaining in the police station for hours. Mayor Walker asked that Durrah make his officers patrol and be out in the community.
Durrah is supposed to give City Attorney Tim McCool the current police personnel policy for him to make some proposals for the council to review and adopt regarding the police officers.
