Prison Corrections Officer Pleads Guilty To Impersonation

In November of 2016, Christopher H. Gordon, a Corrections Officer at FCI Aliceville, was pulled over in the city of Reform for driving 73 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour speed zone. He immediately identified himself as a Federal Officer working with the Marshal service.

Gordon was also driving his personal vehicle, unofficially outfitted with red and blue lights in the front windshield and a siren box by his right leg. After extensive questioning by Officer Malcolm Nalls and Chief of Police Richard Black, Gordon was written a citation for speeding and was advised the state District Attorney’s office was notified and there was an active investigation into his conduct as it pertains to his misidentifying himself.

An indictment was handed down by the State of Alabama on March 29, 2017 for the charge of Impersonating a Peace Officer. Bail was set at $10,500. On March 26, 2018, jury selection began to prosecute Gordon for Impersonating a Peace Officer.
