Aliceville City Council is commended for its affirmative vote, during the February 27, 2019 meeting, to create a youth soccer program within the Aliceville Parks and Recreation Department. Soccer is one of the world’s most popular sports.
According to Mommy University, the ten benefits of playing soccer are helps kids stay fit and healthy, involves teamwork, improves gross motor skills, boosts self-confidence and self-esteem, increases social interactions, increases concentration and focus, competition creates motivation and drive, involves work ethic and responsibility, promotes cognitive development, and it is fun!
I am sure that the children’s parents welcome the soccer initiative to the city. Youth in Aliceville have a bright future.
