The Pirates traveled to Eufaula, Ala. on Friday, April 26 to take on the No. 1 seeded Lakeside School Chiefs in the second round of the AISA Class AA playoffs and were swept clean in Friday's two games by scores of 12-0 and 17-3. The loss ends the season for the Pickens Academy baseball team.

Pickens Academy's Seth Peeks hit a double in the first inning, but the Pirates were unable to come away with any runs from what was one of the better plays of the game for PA. Peeks finished 1-for-2 at the plate to lead the Pirates in hits.
Lakeside's Henry Reeves, Auston Welsh, Jacarri Richardson, Brandon Leroy, Jayce James, and Taylor Glover all finished with multiple hits for the Chiefs in the 12-0 win.
James picked up the win for Lakeside, as he pitched three innings and allowed no runs and just the one hit by Peeks in the first inning. He struck out six batters and walked zero.
John Michael Smith got the start for Pickens Academy and went three innings, allowing 12 runs on 13 hits and striking out one.
