The Story of Wyatt Spann and How His Family is Paying it Forward

The 4th Annual Wyatt Spann Memorial Car Show will be held Oc- tober 28, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hampton Inn at Exit 30 off I-22 in Winfield, Alabama. There is a $20.00 entry fee, and all proceeds and donations go to families battling childhood cancer.

Wyatt Spann was born on November 20, 2015, to Greg and Christy Spann of Win- field, Alabama. Greg and Christy were in their 40’s when Christy became pregnant. Her pregnancy was a surprise, and they felt it was a blessing from God.

On December 2, 2018, they took little Wyatt to Children’s Hospital because they thought he had a stomach virus that he couldn’t shake. After blood work and a stomach x-ray, everything looked normal. They were about to be discharged when the doctor noticed Wyatt’s right eye turn inward for just a second. He asked if it had happened before, and they said it had not. The doctor asked that they stay the night for observation.
