Green Wave Pounds the Patriots 61-18

Before the start of the game Friday night Gordo honored Jack Plowman at the 50 yard line as his parents Heath and Chrissy Plowman were the Honorary Captains. Jack passed away on September 10th at the age of 16 after his battle with cancer. May God blessed this family through the days ahead.

Gordo got back on track following a loss last week at Winfield as Midfield had no answer for the Green Wave run- ning game as Gordo racked up 420 yards on the ground on 30 at- tempts. Total yardage Gordo had 559 to Mid- field's 298.

Cam Lark had a total of 207 all purpose yards and 5 tds, 185 rushing yards with 4 tds and 22 receiving yards and a td.

In the 1st quarter Gordo got on the board first with 3:40 left on Jase Neel 21 yard pass to Cam Lark, extra was no good giving Gordo a 6-0 lead. Midfield came right back at the 2:39 mark on a Keunta Hollins 49 yard td run, two point conver- sion was no good, tying the game at 6-6. With 1:30 left Jase Neel hits

In the 2nd quarter with 11:40 left Cam Lark goes for a 43 yard td run, extra point by Jordy Gomez was good giving Gordo a 19-6 lead. With 8:27 left Midfield scores on a Aaron Adams-Martin 21 yard td pass to Vincent Burrell, two point con- version failed making the score 19-12. With 2:25 left Cam Lark scores on 6 yard td run, extra point by Jordy Gomez was good giving Gordo a 26- 12 lead. Then with :10 left Jase Neel hits Rainer Rusell on a 31 yard td pass, extra point by Jordy Gomez was good giving Gordo a 33-12 lead at the half.

In the 3rd quarter with 10:29 left Cam Lark scores on a 3 yard td run, extra point by Jordy Gomez was good giving Gordo a 40-12 lead. With 6:45 CJ Lark scores on a 4 yard td run, extra point by Jordy Gomez was good making the score 47-12. Midfield scores with :24 seconds left on a Aaron Adams-Martin 1 yard td run, two point conversion failed giving Gordo a 47-18 lead at the end of the 3rd.

In the 4th quarter the

clock would just run with no stoppage and at the 11:38 mark Cam Lark would take off for a 40 yard td run, extra point by Jordy Gomez was good giving Gordo a 54-18 lead. At the 6:16 mark James Davis ll would score on a 32 yard td run, extra point by Jordy Gomez was good making the final score Gordo 61 Midfield 18.

Leading rushers for Gordo was Cam Lark with 13 carries for 185 yards and 4 tds, Jase Neel 6 carries for 120 yards and CJ Lark 10 carries for 83 yards and 1 td.

Leading receivers were CJ Lark with 3 catches 71 yards 1 td and Rainer Rusell 3 catches 46 yards and 1 td.

Jase Neel was 7-14 for 139 yards and 3 tds.

Leading tacklers were Xander Motorna with 6 and 1/2 sack, Noah Mc- Daniel with 6 and Ryder Robertson with 6, 1 sack and 2 pressures.

Friday night Gordo (4- 1) travels to Reform for the 8 mile war against Pickens County (2-3). It will mark the 100th meeting between these two schools with Gordo Leading the All Time 57-39-3.
