Hicks Builders, Inc. Renovates Long House in Aliceville

Contractor Danny Hicks has recently bought and renovated the Long House in Aliceville across from the old hospital. The old house, which was built in 1939, was in terrible condition and rotting down when Hicks purchased it. In six short months, Hicks and his son, Daniel, have gutted the house and made it completely new. When asked why he wanted the dilapidated, old house, Hicks said that there is nothing new in Aliceville for people to buy. He saw the house was for sale by Reed Marine, a real estate agent. Hicks called him and bought it.
“I knew there was nothing in Aliceville that was new to buy,” said Hicks. “I wanted to bring it up to a good condition where someone could use it.”
