The Aliceville City Council held its meeting on January 27, 2026, at City Hall. Mayor Terrence Windham called the meeting to order and led the council in the invocation.
The qualifying dead- line for Pickens County’s 2025 Munici- pal Elections has passed. The elections will be held August 26, 2025, for mayor and city council members in each town.
There will not be an election in Pickensville because no candidates are opposed.
In Carrollton, only the seat on the city council in District 4 will have a race. Briget Stanfill is running against incumbent Councilman Phillip Trull.
After serving over 20 years in the U.S. Army and more than 15 years at Cox Communications, I knew it was time to come back home, to serve the community where I come from. Together with Katie, a beloved face of Aliceville, who has dedicated years working with the public, we put our hearts and heads together and decided to open a place that would bring people together through good food and great service. The Aliceville City Council met on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at City Hall. Councilman Thomas Wilkins was not in attendance. The meeting began with prayer and a moment of silence in honor of the late Councilman Robert Wilder.

After the invocation, the minutes were approved for the October meetings. The motion was made by Councilman Chris Lewis, and the second was given by Councilwoman Tayla Ball.
ALICEVILLE-The City of Aliceville celebrated their first annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 18, 2022 with at least 200 participants. A guest also had to be picked up from the airport in Aliceville to join in the festivities.
Food was surrounded by home southern cuisines along with great music given by the Debbie Bond Band, Radiator Rick, several gospel groups and Aliceville Crusaders.
