Pickens County Retired Educators Observed

The Pickens County Retired Educators observed “Black History Month” during their meeting on February 12th at the Multi-Purpose Center in Carrollton, Alabama. President Ann Corder welcomed members with an invocation given by Vice President Herbert Lavender. Essie Lavender read a very inspiring poem, “Keep-a-Going.” Alice Hurst introduced our speaker, Dr. Winston Bishop, who is a graduate from Aliceville High School in 1986.
