A newly-released rating published by US News and World Report has tapped Aliceville Manor Nursing Home as one of the best nursing homes in Alabama. The publication used data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service’s (CMS) Nursing Home Compare website, where nursing homes are rated “poor” to “top-performing” on a scale of 1 to 5.
In our state, 44 facilities made the list of “top-performing” and had an overall rating of 4.5 or better. The data used to rate the facilities was gathered over the past twelve months and emphasis was placed on quality of care received by the residents of the facilities. To qualify for the US News rating a nursing home had to provide physical therapy to a significant number of residents.
Ashley McGee, the facility’s administrator, was quoted as saying, “It is an honor to be recognized as one of the top 44 nursing homes in the state of Alabama. Our staff work very hard everyday to provide the highest quality of care to our residents. At Aliceville Manor Nursing Home, we are privileged to care for the citizens in our community and surrounding areas.”
