The June 24, 2020 Aliceville City Council meeting began with Mayor Marva Gipson calling the meeting to order with all council members present.
The first item under unfinished business was regarding the need for a speed table on 1st Street.
“In my district on 1st Street, a number of residents have expressed that there is a lot of activity going on at the top of the hill and people making that hill a drag strip and they have small children,” Councilman Terrence Windham said. “There’s some other areas across town that would like speed breakers as well, but in this particular area, the residents were willing to pay for any costs incurred to put the speed breakers down.”
