Lady Wave blast Greene County in doubleheader as Harville pitches ‘perfect game’

Gordo hosted Greene County in an area doubleheader on Tuesday evening and had no problem with the Lady Tigers, winning both games 16-0 in three innings. Chloe Harville pitched a perfect game against Greene County in the second game of the doubleheader.

In the first game of a doubleheader against Greene County, the Lady Wave scored all 16 runs in the bottom of the first inning, as Ansley Wells led things off with a single to shortstop, which sent Chloe Harville and Kaylee Quimby home for a 2-0 lead. Kate Allen then hit a single to left field to score Carlee Criswell and Kaylee Quimby for a 4-0 advantage.

A Lynnsey Horton single then sent Lilly Sutton and Allen home for a 6-0 lead, while Anna Kate Dykes doubled on a ground ball to left field to send Horton home.

Harville then singled on a ground ball to send Dykes and Taylor Clegg home for a 9-0 lead. The Lady Wave scored seven more runs, as Gordo led 16-0 before even registering their second out of the game.

After shutting out Greene County in the top of the third inning, the Lady Wave did not have to bat again, as the game was called at 16-0.
