Commissioners Approve Road Projects

    CARROLLTON- The Pickens County Board of Commissioners meeting was held on October 25, 2022. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Fitch. Commissioners Drew Elmore and Bobby Ingram were not in attendance.
    Commissioner Mark Gray made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Bobby Bain, to approve the consent agenda.
    The meeting began with new business, where a motion was made by Commissioner Gray to approve the $5,000 payment to the Pickens County Courthouse Committee. Commissioner Bain seconded the motion, and it was approved.
    Next, Commissioner Bain motioned to approve the additional $25 payment (County-paid travel supplement) to precinct “Inspectors” as compensation for delivering balots to the Judicial Center after polls close for the November 8, 2022, election. Commissioner Gray seconded the motion, and it was approved.
    Commissioner Gray, seconded by Commissioner Bain, made a motion to approve the purchase of workstations for the Probate Office, cost not to exceed $14,500. The motion was approved.
