Commission Appoints Tommy Hope to Airport Authority

CARROLLTON- The Pickens County Board of Commissioners Meeting occurred on March 14, 2023. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jerry Fitch.
The meeting began with a presentation from Brandon Chanell from Quality Correctional Health Care. Chanell discussed inmate healthcare services, faculty salaries, and business funds. The Commission agreed to discuss possibly doing business with Quality Correctional Health Care in the future.
Next on the agenda was to approve the consent agenda. Commissioner Drew Elmore motioned, seconded by Commissioner Nancy Ray, and it was approved.
The meeting then moved to new business, where Commissioner Jody McGee motioned to approve the resolution supporting the local legislation amending the civil court cost for paper service. Commissioner Jill Noland seconded the motion, and it was approved.
Commissioner Ray motioned, seconded by Commissioner Elmore, to approve the $2,675 payment to Thompson Tractor for cylinder repairs to backhoe unit #18905. This motion was approved.
