Pickens County Commission
CARROLLTON- The Pickens County Board of Commissioners meeting occurred on April 25, 2023. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jody McGee.
The meeting began with comments from Elected Officials, with the first coming from Aliceville Police Chief Tonnie Jones concerning the School Security Officers' hourly rates. Chief Jones asked the Commission to consider a contract for $25 per hour, and the Commission agreed to discuss the agreement further. The Commissioners stated the contract would be returned to the table after more discussion and planning.
The last comment came from Aliceville Mayor Terrence Wind- ham concerning a letter from AmWaste pertain- ing to the garbage bill and budget.
