The Aliceville City Council held its meeting on January 27, 2026, at City Hall. Mayor Terrence Windham called the meeting to order and led the council in the invocation.

In old business, the mayor gave a report on the bids for the city engineer. The council voted to seek the expertise of three engineers who will work as needed to do different projects in the city. They are not on payroll but will do work as needed. Those engineers are as follows: Goodwyn Mills Cawood, Insite Engineering, and Poter-Higginbotham.

The city received two bids for the park concession stand. The first one was for $500.00 from the sponsors of the Al- iceville High School Cheerleaders. The second bid was for $350.00 from Michael Jordan. A motion was made by Councilman Frederick Woods, and the second was given by Councilwoman Jackie Jones to accept the highest bid pending a letter of support from the principal and a letter saying that legally it is ok for the cheerleaders to get this bid. This was approved. The mayor said if they cannot get this in writ- ing it will go to the next bidder.
