Vintage Nutrition Holds Ribbon Cutting in Carrollton

Vintage Nutrition opened its doors on Monday, April 7, 2025, with community leaders attending a ribbon-cutting. The nutrition shop is open Mondays from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The business is located next to Ginger Jar Cottage beside the pergola on the Courthouse Square in Carrollton.

Smiley the Elf Found

Once again, during the week of Thanksgiving and the week following, Mayor Mickey Walker of Carrollton hid Smiley the Elf and sent out clues on Facebook to help people search for it. Finding the tricky elf was worth $1500.00 in prize money this year. The elf hunt was sponsored by Bankfirst. The elf hunt concluded on Thursday, December 5, 2024, with Michele White finding the coveted prize. Over 30 clues were given out before White figured out where the key was.

Carrollton Christmas Parade to be Held December 12th

The Carrollton City Council held their December meeting on December 5, 2024. All council members were in attendance. After the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, the minutes were approved with a motion from Councilman Freddie Lowe and a second from Councilman Sherman Mayhew. The council approved to pay the city’s bills with a motion from Councilman Chuck McDaniel and a second from Councilman Lowe.

Friday night Pickens Academy’s 9 Senior football players, 5 Senior cheerleaders and 2 Senior band members left it all on the field for the very last night they got to perform/compete/cheer at McGee-Hughes- Wright Field. Carrollton Presents Twelve Days of Christmas

CARROLL- TON- The Carrollton Town Council meeting was held on December 1, 2022. After the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, the Council voted to approve the November minutes with a motion from Councilman Chuck McDaniel and a second from Councilman Sherman Mayhew. A motion was made by Councilman Phillip Trull, and a second came from Councilwoman Terisa Robbins to pay the town’s bills, and it was approved. Mayor Mickey Walker was not in attendance, so Mayor Pro-Tem Freddie Lowe conducted the meeting.
