The Gordo Town Council amended a 1990 ordinance at its June 5 meeting that will impose stricter guide- lines on maintaining the property in the town limits.
The Gordo Town Council learned at its May 1 meeting that Gov. Kay Ivey announced that the town's 2019 grant application for a splash pad and playground at the park had been approved.
In an April 27 letter to Mayor Craig Patterson, Gov. Ivey said that the town had received the $159,330.49 grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund and will be administered by the Alabama Economic and Community Affairs.
The Gordo Town Council agreed to purchase three sets of bleachers for the town’s PARA park, according to the minutes of the Feb. 6 meeting.
Mayor Craig Patterson said that Rusty Adams learned there are three complete set of bleachers that can be purchased for the park for $4,500. Patterson also noted that the town’s baseball and softball leagues are no longer with Dixie Youth; they are now with USSSA.
GORDO- The Gordo Town Council received an update on two bridge/culverts at the Jan. 9 meeting by Mayor Craig Patterson.
He first reported on the wooden bridge on Fifth Avenue SW near JetPep. He said he had talked with the County Engineer, and the bridge needs to be replaced with an oval corrugated metal culvert, measuring approximately 40 feet long, six feet wide and five feet tall.
GORDO- On June 6, 2022, the Gordo City Council meeting was called to order by mayor Craig Patterson. The council approved the minutes from the previous meeting. Mayor Patterson briefly explained the audit of the city's accounts before a vote was made to transfer two accounts into two others.

GORDO- The Gordo Town Council meeting was held Monday, May 2nd. After a call to order by the Mayor, there was a short prayer and then the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Mayor.

GORDO - The Monday, January 4, 2021 Gordo Town Council began with Mayor Craig Patterson calling the meeting to order with council members Jerome Duff, Floy Goode, and Tim Washington in attendance.

Gordo’s City Council met on September 9th at 5:30 p.m. to briefly discuss a few items on their agenda. After reading and approving the minutes from their August meeting, the council expressed their gratitude for the cards and posters sent to them by various classes from Gordo Elementary for the money that the council had sent to them.
Next, Mayor Craig Patterson made a formal motion to the council to make Johnny Stephenson the permanent police chief for Gordo and the motion was passed.
