On October 21, 2023, the Aliceville High School Class of 1983 celebrated their 40th Year Class Reunion. This event was held at the Aliceville City Hall. There were 34 participants.
During the event, former teachers and the principal gave words of encouragement. Those in attendance were Mr. Willie J. Thomas, Mrs. Annie Phillips, Mrs. Glenda Hodges, Mr. Detrick Hodges, and the principal, Mr. Herbert Lavender. Class President Melanie Clark-Harmon gave an inspiring speech that was enjoyed by all in attendance.
The audience was entertained by "The River Boyz," singing "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" as a tribute to former Band Director Mr. Detrick Hodges. The show ended with the performance of the song "This One's For Me and You" by Johnny Gill and New Edition, also performed by "The River Boyz."
Everyone enjoyed an evening of reminiscing and sharing memories from the past 40 years.
