The Pickens County Board of Education held its monthly meet- ing on June 12, 2023, at the Central Office. After the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, the Board approved the minutes with a motion from Board member Dr. John Brandon and a second from Board member Gene Dawkins. The May minutes were approved with a motion from Board member Dr. Brandon and a second from Board member Sam Wiggins.

The audit report was given by Mrs. Shelley Patrenos, State Auditor.

The Pickens County Board of Education held its monthly meeting on March 15, 2023. The meeting began with a group of Gordo students presenting a program for the Board. The meeting was then called to order by Board Chairman Annie Jackson. All Board Members were present.

The Pickens County Board of Education held its January meeting on the 17th at Pickens County High School. The meeting opened with an invocation.  Students from the school sang the national anthem for the Board Members followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. A handful of students from the school also stood in front of the Board members and shared with them their dreams for the future.

LADOW- The Pickens County Board of Education took place on July 19, 2022. Board Chairman Annie Jackson called the meeting to order. Vice-President Sam Wiggins was not in attendance.

After the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance, the board approved the June 1 and June 14, 2022 meeting minutes and the payroll.
