To celebrate Black History Month, the Aliceville Museum is hosting a program by Dr. Derryn E. Moten, Professor and Chair of the Department of History and Political Science at Alabama State University, on Thursday, February 7 at 6:00 p.m. in the Museum’s Events Room at 104 Broad Street NE in Aliceville.
One of Shakespeare’s most popular romantic comedies, “As You Like It,” will be presented by the world renowned Alabama Shakespeare Festival (ASF) at the Aliceville Entertainment Complex, 210 Broad Street NE, on Thursday, January 10. There will be two performances. The first will be at 9:30 am for all high school juniors and seniors attending school, or being home schooled in Pickens County. Another performance at 7:00pm will be for the general public. Admission to both performances will be free of charge.

The Aliceville Museum is presenting a traveling exhibit dedicated to Alabama’s 200th Bicentennial birthday. Alabama became the nation’s 22nd state on December 14, 1819. This informative exhibition is traveling to all 67 Alabama counties through December 2019 and will only be in Pickens County July 14 – July 28, 2018.
For the last four years, the Aliceville Museum’s annual fundraiser gala has been one of the social highlights for west-central Alabama. This year’s event promises to be the best yet with a Louisiana-style Crawfish Boil! The gala will be held from 7:00 to 11:00 pm on Saturday, June 2 in the Museum's Events Room and Courtyard.
