Pickens Academy Veterans Day Program

Pickens Academy held their annual Veteran’s Day program on November 10th. The program was led by Millie Jaynes, Student Government Association President. A devotion and prayer was given by Alyssa Watt. The pledge was led by Aidan Johnson and the K4 class. The Pirate Band played the Star Spangled Banner. The guest speaker was Chief Master Sergeant Gary Thomas of Reform.

Brothers to Speak at Aliceville Salute to Veterans Luncheon

The Aliceville annual Salute to Veterans Luncheon will be held in the Aliceville Museum Events Room located at 104 Broad Street, NE in Aliceville at 11:30 am on Tuesday, November 12. Tickets are $10.00 each. Due to limited seating, reservations are recommended and may be made by calling the Museum at 205-373-2363. Lunch, which is being catered by Angie’s Place Restaurant of Aliceville, will be served starting at 11:30, and the program will begin at noon.
