Judy Hollingsworth Boler, age 73, of Reform, AL passed away January 25, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.  Memorial services were 10:00 am Monday, January 30, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joyce Snyder and Rev. Mike Hall officiating.  Visitation followed the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon S. “Sonny” Boler; her grandson, Jordon Slade Boler; her parents and brothers, Gerald Orr Hollingsworth and John Robert Hollingsworth.

Robert "Bryan" Stuart Jr., age 58, passed away on December 25, 2022 at 6:30 pm peacefully at Memorial Hospital in Mechanicsville, VA.  
Bryan gratuated from West Alabama University and received his Masters Degree from St. Leo University. Bryan was an entrepreneur most of his life in the mobile and modulaar home business. Bryan grew up in Livingston, AL and Virginia Beach, VA. He resided primarily in Virginia Beach, VA the past twelve years. 

Mr. Franklin D. Sherrod passed away on January 5, 2023, in Tuscaloosa, Al. Funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at St John Baptist Church in Pickensville, Al. Melton F. “Buzz” Miller, Jr., age 62, of Reform, AL passed away January 19, 2023 at his residence.  Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 27, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Lone Oak Church of Christ Cemetery in Steens, MS with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.   Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.

Martha Jane Skelton Marler, age 72, of Reform, AL passed away January 12, 2023 at her residence.   Funeral services were 2:00 pm Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Morrison, Rev. Trey Reece, Rev. Terry Knopp and Rev. Calvin Hall officiating.   Dee Dee Davis delivered the Eulogy.  Burial followed in Bethel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was 6 - 8 pm Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
 

Mary Ann Jones Junkins, age 91, of Collierville, Tennessee and formerly of Aliceville, AL, passed away January 9, 2023 at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee. A graveside service for family was held 12:00 noon Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Oak Grove- Franconia Cemetery with Rev. Gene Lankford officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Dollie Louise Jones, age 86, of Carrollton, AL passed away January 13, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joey Lucas officiating.  Burial followed in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was 6 - 8 pm Monday, January 16, 2023 at the funeral home.

Clara Ethel Brown Fair, age 96, of Gordo, AL passed away January 14, 2023 at her residence.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Trey Kelley officiating.  Burial followed in Center Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Marion Bonner of Aliceville passed away on January 6, 2023, in Eutaw, Al. The funeral service was held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at New Cannon Baptist Church in Aliceville, Al. Burial followed in New Cemetery in Aliceville, Al., with Northport Funeral & Cremation Service directing.
 

George Wilson Wharton, Jr., age 79, of Ethelsville, AL passed away January 10, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Boothe officiating. Burial followed in Greenhill Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Wilson Wharton, Sr. and Edith Wright Wharton Elmore and sister, Peggy Perrigin.

Dana Ann Sparks, age 74, of Reform, AL passed away January 5, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services were 3:00 pm Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Hall officiating. Burial followed in Arbor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Sparks; her mother, Betty H. McDaniel and stepfather, John McDaniel.

Angela “Angie” Pritchett, age 50, of Gordo, AL passed away January 4, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services were 2:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2023 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mable Hanks McDaniel, age 90, of Carrollton, AL passed away January 11, 2023 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Doris O. “Lil” Lee, 94, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022. The Homegoing Celebration was held Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. t Pine Grove Baptist Church in Carrollton. Interment was in Pine Grove Memorial Gardens Cemetery. There was no Public Visitation.

Mary Ann Junkins, age 91, of Collierville, TN and formerly of Aliceville, AL passed away January 9, 2023 at the Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. Ms. Anne C. Craig, 79, of Bronx, NY passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Albert Einstein Hospital in Bronx, NY. Visitation will be private. The Graveside Homegoing Celebration and Interment will be Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 12:00 noon in Bigbee Baptist Church Cemetery in Aliceville.

Paul Donald Babb, age 62, of Gordo, AL passed away January 6, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Cornerstone Church in Gordo with Rev. Troy Nicholson and Rev. Marvin McCormick officiating. A private burial was held in Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was two hours prior to the service at the church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Babb and grandparents, Philip and Lois Babb and Harvey and Mary Thaxton.

Mr. Isadore Washington, 68, of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Noland Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Public Visitation was Friday, January 6, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The Homegoing Celebration was Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 12:00 noon in the James and Lola Laven- der Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Community Cemetery.

   Connie Susette Tucker, age 68, of Gordo, AL passed away December 26, 2022 at Northport Medical Center DCH.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with Elder Chris McCool officiating.  Burial followed in Sand Springs Cemetery in Gordo with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Deacon Zebedee “Big Zeb” Jones, 74, of Reform passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Public Visitation was Monday, January 2, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The Home Going Celebration was Tuesday, January 3, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Reform. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Reform.

 

 Mr. Reggie Lee Hall, 77, of Aliceville passed away on Saturday December 24, 2022 at Aliceville Manor Nursing Home. Public Visitation was held Friday, December 29, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The Graveside Home Going Celebration was Friday, December 30, 2022, 11:00 a.m. in Fleming Cemetery in Carrollton. 
 

Elloise Morris O’Briant, age 97, also known as “Mama Weese” by those who loved her dearly, was welcomed into her heavenly home by Jesus Christ our Lord and past family and friends on December 25, 2022.  Funeral services were 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform, AL with Rev. Tim Meherg officiating.  Burial followed in Graham Memorial Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Floyce Whitley, age 80, of Gordo, AL passed away December 20, 2022 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were 11:00 am Friday, December 23, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed Nelson officiating.  Burial followed in Holly Springs Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.   Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Tick” Whitley; her parents; sisters, Patricia Whitley, Diane Pruitt and Teresa Kelley and brother, Harold “Bo” Lee.

Andy Ray Wharton, Sr., age 71, of Tuscaloosa, AL passed away December 18, 2022 at his residence.  Memorial services were 11:00 am Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Meherg officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.                                              
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Cary Wharton.                      

Janice Elmore Snipes, age 71, of Gordo, AL passed away December 18, 2022 at her home.   Funeral services were 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Flatwoods Baptist Church with Bro. Russell Dewayne Brown, Sr., age 80, of Ethelsville, AL passed away December 19, 2022 at Arbor Woods Health & Rehab in Reform  Funeral services were 10:00 am Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Ethelsville Baptist Church with Bro. Redus Hall and Bro. Richard Trotter officiating.  Burial followed in the church cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation followed the service at the church

Barbara Ann Bryant, age 78, of Aliceville, AL passed away December 14, 2022 at Arbor Woods Heath & Rehab Center in Reform.  Funeral services were 11:00 am Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Garden Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Ezelle officiating.  Burial followed in Magnolia Memorial Gardens with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church.

John B “Johnny” Dean, Jr., age 70, of Reform, AL, passed away December 14, 2022, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Mrs. Ella Teresa “Lank” Hall, 64, of Reform passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at her residence. Reverend Winston Burdette Sr., 66, of Mableton, GA passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Piedmont Healthcare Atlanta. Public Visitation was held Friday, December 9, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Lavender’s Funeral Service. The Homegoing Celebration was Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 12:00 noon at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Carrollton. Interment was in Mt. Sinai Ceme- tery.

Margaret Alexander Finch, age 87, of Cullman, AL and formerly of Aliceville passed away December 5, 2022 at Woodland Village Rehab & Health Care Center in Cullman, AL. Private graveside services were held 2:00 pm Friday, December 9, 2022 at Franconia-Oak Grove Cemetery in Aliceville, AL with Rev. Gene Lankford officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

James Edsel Garner of Gordo, Alabama, died on November 18, in Birmingham, his adoring wife and two children by his bedside as he passed on to meet his Savior. He was 81 years old.

Lear Jean Acker, age 54, of Gordo, AL passed away November 28, 2022 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Thursday December 1, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mr. Robert Miller, 82, of East Elmhurst, NY, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at his residence. The Graveside Celebration was held Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 12:00 noon in New Cemetery in Aliceville.

Mr. Onnie Lee Guyton, 96, passed away on November 20, 2022, in Northport, AL. Funeral service was held on November 26, 2022, at Providence M.B. Church in Liberty, AL. Burial followed at Providence Cemetery in Liberty, AL., with Northport Funeral & Cremation Service directing.

Josie Duncan Turnipseed, age 77, of  Ethelsville, AL passed away October 30, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.  Funeral services were 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mrs. Authorine Taggart, 95, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at her residence. The Graveside Homegoing Celebration was held Saturday, November 19, 2022, at noon in Community Cemetery in Carrollton.

Julia Annette Munroe, 84, of Talladega passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. A funeral ceremony was held in her honor at First Methodist Church of Talladega on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with Terry Bentley officiating. The family received friends at Usrey Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M. Interment followed directly after the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Floyd Olin Lee, Sr., age 90, passed away November 9, 2022 at his residence in the Union Chapel community of Carrollton, AL.  Funeral services were 11:00 am Friday, November 18, 2022 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Boothe officiating . Burial followed in Union Chapel Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  The family received guests one hour prior and after the service.

Mr. Sammie D. “Dr. C” Corder, 66, of Columbus, MS, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, at his residence. Mr. William James “Fat Boy” Oliver, 68, of Panola, AL passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at his residence. Christopher Lamar Walker, Sr., age 57, of Gordo, AL passed away October 17, 2022 at his residence.  Graveside services were 2:00 pm Friday, October 21, 2022 in the family cemetery behind the residence with William Rail officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.  Visitation followed the service at the graveside.
